Get ready for an adventure! We invite you to participate in our annual 6-mile extended hike to the breathtaking edge of the Ohio River for our Rivers Pointe October Hike 2024. This is a unique opportunity to explore new trails winding through picturesque forests and crossing flowing streams.

Hiking Through Nature’s Beauty
October is the perfect time to experience the beauty of nature at Rivers Pointe. The leaves will be changing, providing the perfect backdrop for our hike. The cool, crisp air will invigorate you as we start our journey at the RIVERWORKS Community Club at 9 a.m. sharp. Please note, we’re beginning an hour earlier than usual, so be sure to arrive on time to get the most out of this adventure.
As we trek the trails, be prepared to splash through streams and conquer some hilly terrain. To ensure you have the best experience, we recommend wearing sturdy hiking boots or shoes, as the trails can be slippery, especially if there’s been recent rain. It’s also a good idea to dress in layers to stay comfortable as the weather may fluctuate throughout the morning. And don’t forget to wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty — nature has a way of leaving its mark!
Older children and pets are welcome to join us on this hike. However, because of the trail’s length and some of the challenging spots, we recommend leaving very young children at home for their safety and comfort.
Post-Hike Celebration at RIVERWORKS
After our adventure, join us back at the RIVERWORKS Community Club for a festive gathering on the outdoor covered porches. City Barbecue will cater the event at noon: Delicious food in the great outdoors is the perfect way to celebrate a great hike.
Enjoy Food, Drinks and Games!
As we come together to enjoy the meal, you can sip on a nice drink or cold beer while catching the latest football games on the porch or challenging your friends or neighbors to a competitive game of cornhole.
