The construction industry is accustomed to innovating for the better. Each year, builders come from all over the country to attend the International Builders’ Show. At the show, suppliers and vendors show off all the latest and greatest home products. This year, the show went virtual as IBSx. It looked different from years past, but it still proved to be an exceptional event. We are excited to share this year’s hottest Builders Show trends to inspire your dream home vision.
Big Winners
36-inch Dual Fuel Pro Range Signature Kitchen Suite brought the heat with their pro-range with built-in sous vide, induction and gas. The range is packed with power, yet versatile, making it perfect for the foodie and the techie. The best part? It doesn’t require a make-up air system. The range won awards for Best Indoor Product and Best Home Technology Product at this year’s show.
The Axis Smart Glass Bioclimatic System Suntech gave us a touch of Orlando with their pergola system. It consists of smart-glass louvres that can be retracted or rotated with the press of a button. The outdoor system won the award for Best Outdoor Product and was among other Builders Show trends toward outdoor living.
The Pella Easy Slide Operator After rigorous testing, Pella Corporation presented their latest window hardware. It is attached to a window for easy opening and closing. It was designed to create a sleek, inclusive solution for all. The window hardware won Best Window and Door Product at IBSx.
Modern Kitchen
4 Door Refrigerator LG featured several new products at IBSx, including the Whirlpool® 4 Door Refrigerator. It is a dynamic storage solution with removable, easy-reach shelves. The unique design makes it easy to store and find every item your family needs.
Outdoor Tech
NeON® R LG unveiled their newest, most powerful solar panels at the show. Their design allows for maximum sunlight absorption. The panels come with a 25-year warranty. LG’s solar panels were featured in The New American Remodel, the official show home, which showcases dozens of Builders Show trends each year.
Interactive Trade Show
The Covid-19 pandemic threatened to throw a wrench in the plans for the event. Though the event was not in sunny Orlando, builders could experience the show in the most technologically advanced way yet. Companies like GE and Whirlpool created interactive virtual showrooms. The show reached more people and allowed for greater flexibility. Nevertheless, we look forward to IBS 2022 back in the Sunshine State.
