Grab Your Paddle: Northern Kentucky Pickleball Court in the Works

It is no secret that pickleball is becoming one of the most popular recreational sports out there. It creates a bonding environment for friends and family, and allows for friendly competition for all ages. People looking for a Northern Kentucky pickleball court might consider a new home in Rivers Pointe Estates.  Plans are in the works to open a pickleball court at the new community in fall 2023.

What Is Pickleball?

This sport, which is rising in popularity at a fast pace, combines many aspects from tennis, badminton and ping-pong, according to USA Pickleball. The court required for games of pickleball is badminton size with a lowered tennis net. The only equipment needed includes a paddle, a plastic ball with holes and some gym shoes. Pickleball is enjoyed at all ages and skill levels. It is meant to create fun moments of competition and lots of laughs.

Why Is Pickleball So Popular?

Unlike other sports, pickleball is enjoyed at all ages and skill levels. Play can be leisurely, a good workout or even full-fledged tournament level. You do not have to be an expert, a pro or even athletic to pick up a paddle and learn how to play.

Community Through Rivers Pointe Estate

For Rivers Pointe Estates residents, the development of a pickleball court in the neighborhood will create opportunities to be together, and will lead to new friends and connections.  By making the location central within the neighborhood, residents can access the court  within a close walk, drive or bike ride.
